Ebay urls don't link for me for some reason. Here's the ebay item number:
330253285378
Tim Ripley - Gaithersburg, MD 1981 XS1100 Special "Spoiled Rotten" Just sold - currently bikeless!!
23mm float height
120 main jets
42.5 pilot jets
drilled stock airbox with K&N
Jardine 4 to 1 Exhaust
spade fusebox
1st and 2nd gear fix
That's pretty cool. Looks like he still kept lots from the original. The chain mod is neat, looks like he used the original middle drive and braced it from the outside.
Weird air filters, don't know what the fuel lines are doing?

(Improving with age, the bike that is)
The fuel lines are a bit confusing with the double T thing going on. My guess is he started with the octy and that was his way of losing it.

It's different .. it's nice, for what it is ... BUT 9K .. For 9K you lads in the states could have a boat load of 11s. It's very difficult to sell personal taste ..

You don't even have to save it in your my ebay. All you have to do is copy the listing link. Like if you did a search and saw that one. The link that you would click on to open the auction page will work too. Just right click the link and 'Copy Shortcut' (explorer), 'Copy Link Location' (Fire Fox).
Love the passenger seat, wonder if it's functional or just for show. Wouldn't work for my SWMBO - she likes to hold on to me
