  • Caught a (little) thief today!

My neighbors across the street told me last night that their (unlocked) car got broken into the night before (Sunday). They only took their daughters pink Nintendo DS and rummaged through everything else. So when I got home from work today, as I was pulling in the driveway, a kid was in the passenger side of their car. I yelled at him "what are you doing?", he turned around and said "this town sucks". He then began to slink away, so I asked him again the same thing. He didn't answer, but began to go to their door. I thought maybe he is friends with their daughter. The neighbor came to the door and began to talk to him. Thinking everything was fine, I went inside, set down the mail and went back outside. He was gone, but the neighbor was still out there. So I asked her if she knew him, she said no, then I told her he was in her car. She looked in there really fast and said that her phone was gone. I saw him still riding away down our street, jumped back into the work truck and started chasing him with the police on the phone. He zig zagged through the neighborhood and finally stopped. I pulled up next to him, he asked in an African/Jamaican accent "why are you following me?" I said "I saw you in my neighbors car". We argued for a minute and he started to ride away. I followed him to the local elementary school where he thought he could lose me. I jumped out of the truck and began to chase him on foot through the football field, around the gym, and back down the street. He cut through a shopping center, so I tried to cut him off going around the back of the building not knowing that it dead ended into another building with only a small section of fence about 10 feet tall. I did all of this with the cops on the phone, in steel toed work boots, blue jeans with pockets full of keys (about 50 of them!), 2 screw drivers, wire cutters, assortment of allen wrenches, flashlight, and a small multimeter, polo shirt and undershirt! So I was exhausted and gave up! The cops caught him only a few blocks away. I went over there, identified him and told them my story. The boy was a small 13 year old kid, I thought he was maybe 10 years old. The neighbor got back her Nintendo and cell phone. This is the second time I have busted someone doing this. Good thing I used to play soccer!

Yeah?? So next time just drop kick the little SOB.

Sitting here trying to think of what I hate more than a thief.... Nope. Nothing. I hate liars too... but a thief is worse. All your troubles and he'll probably get a slap on the hand and be out on the street tomorrow.

Good job.. way to pay attention. I hope the neighbors are neighborly enough to say thank you... with a case of beer or something. BUT... I know that's not why you did it.

It happened in broad day light, 4:45pm! I did it because I needed to nip this "breaking into cars" thing in the butt real fast before they tried mine. It ran through my head over and over of beating him into the ground, but he was a kid and that just wouldn't be fair. I caught a couple guys trying to break into my work truck a few years ago around 1am. I jumped out from around the corner with the Mossberg 12 ga and they went running. Had the cops on the phone as they drove back by reading off their license plate number to the dispatcher! They caught them within the hour! I love the rush I guess!

                Good Job

I might be a lot of things, but I ain't no thief. I agree with tribig. There ain't nothing worse than a thief and a child molester in my book. I can see killing some one way more than that low snake in the grass BS.

A few years ago the cleanup crew stole a shotgun from my office and a few other things from other offices and were stealing materials from our rear storage yard. I told the detective that was interviewing us that I felt violated and if I caught anyone stealing from our business again I was just going to just shoot them. He looked me straight in the eye and said "make sure you kill them. That way it is only 20 minutes of paperwork for me but if you just wing 'em then is will be a whole big mess".

I carry my louisville slugger with me in the truck, at times when i do have to pull it out people see how beat up it is and back down......haha

As far as guns go, as long as i can keep mine to protect my family and I, there will be no problems. If guns are taken away from those who have them registered and are legal law abiding citizens then that will leave just those who are not so law abiding with illegal guns and us without with no preotection.

Judges appointed by democrats that don't beleive the second amendment protects the right bear arms. Right now it appears to be a 5 to 4 split with conservatives ruling. That could change. If you have any delusions judges appointed by democrats are not left wing and do not beleive we have the right to bear arms then there's no point in having a conversation about it cause we'll never agree.

And the term liberal is mis-used so I should of just said left wing usually associated with democratic party which is the party that will be completely controlling the country soon.
