My Father in law gave me my name....I was picking some steak out of my teeth and he asked "do you have a meat tooth?" I laughed my arse off because I've never heard of a meat tooth....now my circle of freinds call me "meat"

Quite a few years back, I was out 4 wheeling in the mtns, and came across
a coyote that was was caught in a jaw trap. He hadn't been there long apparently, and seemed in good shape other than the trap on the leg, so I got on my hands and knees, crawled up to him and released him from the trap. No, I didn't get bit- he just sat there and looked me in the eye for what seemed a really long time. Seemed like a pretty calm situation actually. Also, like Wile E. Coyote, I don't always exercise the best judgement. Obviously. But I sure do have a good time....

Well, my first name is Edgar, and I am devoted to my '79 Special:
                  So-o-o-o Special Ed!
Besides anyone who has followed my treads on the "Hot Button Topics" must know that I need some Special Education.
                  Special Ed
Old bikers never die, they're just out of sight!

My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"
                  I've been riding since 1959.

                    Big Daddy Funk

I got this nickname about 15 years ago and it really stuck.
My son was a popular Electronica DJ and I used to tour with him as often as possible. His stage name was Funk n Style.
I was given an all access pass at a large show by the promoter that had "Big Daddy Funk" on it. When I asked the promoter about the name, he told me only DJ's were allowed all access passes by the venue owner, so that was the only way to get me in for free as well as get free booze all night. The rest of the DJ's thought it was cool and the name stuck
It's to the point now I believe most people know me only by my nickname or some version of it.
                    Thx BDF

You know it is funny, when my father passed away we had to list his nickname in his obituary or half his friends would not have known who he was. Many commented at the viewing they never knew his real name.

                            • I know I've written it here somewhere before but I used to work in maintenance and I'd write 3Φ on my time card so I could find it among all of the other cards in the evening after I shut down most of the lights.

I started using it as my online handle back in the 80s and I just stuck with it over the years after the Internet went public in the 90s.
