Wouldn't have it if you gave it to me.

Ape hangers, drum rear and no front brake: Deathtrap.

I would rather ride a moped than that.

If all it needs is 1 rear drum break, maybe it is really Sloooowwww.

I see it has been removed from Ebay. Do you know if the auction ended or did it just get removed?

              Eminently salvagable

              Hi Guy,
the apehangers can easily be replaced by something more suitable and once removed will add a welcome bass note to one's handlebar windchime.
The drum rear is an XS650 stock item and will lock up the back wheel if strongly trod on. It looks to me as though the front brake caliper & disk have simply been removed. If so they can be bolted back on. It also looks like the frame rake angle has been left alone and the front forks are still at the stock length. No more than $150 in used parts that can just be bolted on and you have a useable hardtail that you can safely ride to your chiropractor's office.

Actually, I like the looks of that! But the apehangers do look to be a little tall for my taste. And I'm not a fan of that much red, and I'm also not a fan of spoke wheels, and upswept pipes aren't for me either. Other than that, I'd ride the daylights out of her!

It looks ok. If it was intended for a kid.
Chrome spokes would have been better. The red makes it look toyish.

Might get me a 650 cheep and butcher it into something. 500 for bike, 1k in parts, and sell at 4k. That'll work.

That is a 650 and they have become VERY popular as a Brit look a like option so they do draw more money. However 4 K ande over is pushing it ... a lot

Well ok, maybe if you gave it to me. My windchime needs a little bass.

No front brake? I suppose I might ride it, but I've been married for 27 years so I have absolutely no fear of death....

If I was to ride a hard tail something would break and I am sure it would not be the bike.
