  • Spending spree!

There are so many things I want to buy and do with my bike, I just need to pace myself. I'm sure a lot of you are in the same boat. Somethings I need, some I want, some are just extras! But then I just want to jump on and ride, don't want the down time. Who can relate?

I definetly can relate to that statement. When waiting on parts ordered or ebay items to end to see if I won, the days go by painfully slow. The more important the part the longer it seems. I hate having great riding days when My bike is down and waiting for a part.

When I first started out, every day was like Xmas with parts showing up in the mail. Now it is just better parts or hop-ups. The fun will begin soon though. I am finally going to be starting the MSEFI project.

I will do some work in the winter, but I like to ride in the cold since Texas doesn't really get that cold. I like being the only bike on the road in the winter time. I think last year the coldest it got was 15 deg F. It actually made some of the big tough "cowboys" I work with whine! But once you've lived in Kansas working the night shift outside in winter, that's nothing!

          Thats me now

Most parts are coming from Ca. so they take forever and a day to get here. Then there those pricks that wait 4 days before shipping.

My handle bars I been watching for in the mail, I received an e-mail from the guy asking if I still wanted them. Apparently I forgot to pay after the auction was over(week ago). He was nice about it and now I paid. But after all this waiting, its just been sent yesterday(I hope)

Point and click shopping is great, but the wait does suk

Last winter, I was like a wife hooked on the Home Shopping Channel. I was ordering parts off ebay and numerous other sights so fast I think my debit card was starting to melt.

Once I had my 1100SG up and running, I put everything on hold with my 1100SH. I figure I will enjoy the summer and fall, then get back on completing that bike for next Spring. The SH already has the tank and side covers repainted, the seat reupholstered and I rebuilt the carbs. I just need to replace the cables, fuel lines, tires and a few other things including new emblems for the tank and side covers. I've already bought them all, they just need to go on.

My bike is done and I'm still buying stuff. I bid that Mustang seat up to 300.00 and my wife slapped me, I bought the same seat yesterday on ebay for 50.00 I keep coming home with either new stuff for the bike or another project. Friday the BMW comes back so maybe I'll stop the buying addiction for the xs. Yeah right it's getting ready for tires soon.
I hate signatures. Too many cars and Bikes to list here.

Yep I can relate. New exhaust system next and maybe a seat I love the bike but the seat just kills my butt.

                    Dennis Kirk's dream book

I got a paper and a CD catalogs from Dennis Kirk. I was in dream land for two weeks!! I started a list and got writer cramps in the first 10 seconds! I even take it to the potty. The only sensable thing to do is, make a list and put it thru the SWMBO filter. I give her two or three pages covered on both sides and she hands me back a post-it note!!

Not if the list includes her bike. In fact it might get expanded.
