  • Wanted dead XJ1100 reg/rec unit

I'm working on a redesign of the reg/rec units I build and I'd like to have a dead XJ1100 reg/rec to use as a wiring model. The plugs don't have to be in good shape, just there.

I'll pay the shipping to me and trade some shop credit for it. So if you need some connectors, this would be a good time...

I've got the dead one from when I bought yours, but I needed the plugs off of it.... or at least one of them.

If no one else chimes in, give me a hollar and I'll try to track it down.

      Geezer:

I have a RD 1143 that is much smaller than my standard XS1100 rectifier. It has female plug on the big connector and a male plug on the small connector, which is just the reverse of my standard XS rectifier. I don't know if that is a XJ or not as I cannot find any reference to it. I bought a few years ago with another XS 1100 rectifier and was told it came off of an XS. Let me know if it is what you are looking for.

The XJ1100 reg/rec has 2 red and 2 black wires in a 4 prong plug. The 5 prong plug has 3 white wires, 1 brown and one green.

I have pix but it would be nice to have one in hand to work with.

Assuming you released the terminals from the plugs rather than cut them off, I can just stick on a new one. What the hell I can splice on wires if I need to. eMail me at technojock@yahoo.com and we can work out the details.

The truth is I'm expanding the hell out off my line and I need dead reg/rec units from all sorts of bikes. Pix and notes are nice but there's nothing like having a real part in hand...

It's going to be next week before I get a chance to look for mine.. if in fact I still have it. In the mean time, maybe someone will chime in with one. A dead one isn't doing anyone any good laying around anyway... might as well donate it to science! The "No good laying around" thing may have gotten it thrown away here... but I will check better.

I just wanna hear about when you start making the TCI's for us!

Thats what the RD 1143 has. As far as I know it is a good one. I will take a picture of it and post. If that is the one you need you are welcome to it gratis.

TCI units will have to wait for this winter for me to work them out. I'm working a brand "H" TCI now. Well not really the project has been on the back burner for the last couple months. I've been rather swamped and new and updated products have been a real effort...

Thanx for the offer but I'd feel bad about putting some one elses good reg/rec in my samples collection.

                  BTW, what is a RD1143?

Geezer: Do not feel bad as I have a spare for my 80G I would have you have it as your mission is to create usable products for the 1100 group as a whole. Besides, I do not think I will ever get a XJ and I really don't know if it is a viable XJ product.

As it turns out, I have one of RD1143 units but I really could use the other one. PM me for shipping and barter info.
