has any one her won trophies with there bikes at shows?

I went to a car show today after i got the bike going..my friend Steve Whitney from WhitWorx(the metal plating and polish guy) was helping to put it on, and told me i should bring the bike out and enter it in the bikes....so i did....there was a turn out of about 7 Harleys a Goldwing trike, a 05' GSXR 600, and the XS. I wasent there but 5 minutes and a guy walkes up and asked about my XS, he said that he use to have one and loved it, and that i shouls hang onto my forever.

well they announced the results of the judging and the Goblin got 2nd place!!!! who would have thought...I wasent suspecting anything.

I won 2nd place in the Japanese class at the 6th Annual Old Snohomish Antique & Classic Motorcycle Show in 2002. Voting is done by the attendees of the event.

It is basically a Harley Show & Shine that is held in down town Snohomish. First place in the Japanese class was taken by a stock Honda trail 70.

We figure the Honda was probably the first bike most of the Harley guys road and the XS was the fastest.

I had a nice 79 XS750 SF back in 92 that took third place in it's class in a show, and I wasn't even there! I had to work on weekends then, and my room mate was going to go to this show, and one of our friends wanted to go, but didn't have a bike at the time. I told him he could ride the 750, but he had to enter it in the show. He did and it took home a trophy.

Aspencade in Ruidoso, NM. 1998. Parked my rig in the parking lot with 10 gillion other bikes. Came outa the show and had a "honorable mention" ribbon on my rig. She still was complete with 2 hours of rain/road dirt and bugs. Note on it said to bring it to the judges booth to claim my prize. Got a t-shirt and a hat outa the deal. I got alot of "had one of those" from the judges. The pisser was my riding buddy spent 2 hours that morning cleaning his HD. He asked "what did they see in that bike", my answer "class and muscle, all in one grimey package"

Mitch, you must be referring to the green 1974 CB750 Honda bobber next to the XS. That one I entered into the antique class, and won 3rd place. No trophy for that one though, unless you count the pics of Amy on it that I can't post!
