    XS1100 Final Drive

    1980 XS 1100 Final Drive
    I just recently joined this site and am curious if any one would know the answer to a question I have.
    My question is this.
    Is it true that the xs750 final drive will fit on my XS1100?
    Also I was told it would gear my bike up for the highway is this true?

      Yes, the drives will swap, and yes, it will gear your bike up for better fuel economy. you will likely get many replies to the same effect. I believe there is a tech tip to guide you through the process. not having done it myself, I cannot say how, only that it does work. have a nice day and ride safe . try doing a search for 750 FD or something like it.

          I found a 750 final drive on ebay in excellent shape and got it for .99 cents off of there. I am glad to here it will work.

              Hi Maggz,

              It is not quite a straight swap; there are a few little mods to do.

              A Lorax said, look at the tech tips, or try a search on here; there is a very good instructional write-up and a load of comment and discussion on the site about this.
