i broke the vespa out this week......funny seeing a guy dressed in business atire driving a vespa down the road. i would ride the XS but i am waiting on my carbs to come in.....I did just get the KZ1000 going again so i may be riding it as well. here in Arkansas 92 octane is about $4-4.07 a gallon.

It cost too much to fill "the big white truck of justice" and drive it everywhere.....i save it for special ocasions now. Just like the 66 galaxie.

      fuel prices

Here in the UK petrol now costs the equivalent of $10 a
gallon and the price is still rising .I am now retired so all my motorcycling and car driving is for pleasure only thank goodness.

When it hits 10 per gallon here, I'll ride my XS behind a two-horsepower conveyance system. I'll tie the reins to the handlebars... ...and if collect the exhaust, my roses will grow!

There's a reason the Peugeot has only 800 original miles... and why, when sold new, it came with two - count 'em, two - top end rebuild kits....

                  I'll always have my bicycle!

If it gets to the point where the price of gas is so prohibitive,I'll just go back to riding my bicycle...except in really bad weather...

                    fuel prices

                    Olebiker

The latest price for fuel in the UK is

Unleaded 116.9 UK pence per litre

Super unleaded 126.9 pence per litre

                    Deisel 135.9 pence per litre

It can vary slightly in different areas but thats what I paid today. Many hauliers are staging fuel protests by blocking motorway routes with lorries. Who can blame them there is also a protest by a thousand plus motorcycles on a couple of northern motorways on Thursday.

If I have the exchange right that is almost double our price in Canada. We are at 1.27 per litre and I think the pound is worth about two Canadian dollars??? If I am right that would really hurt here in Canada or the US were the distances to everything tend to be greater. We live in the country were bus service is not an option.
