Just thought it might be interesting to see how many indicator auto-cancels work out there.
Mine is an '81 that has no electrical mods done before I put new coils and plugs on, so I would say not only stock but untouched and it works.

            Hi guys,

This was one of the things I removed from my 11 during the first few days of ownership..... back about '92?.....

"Federal"55mph speedo, buckhorn bars, grabrail, Goodyear Eagle tyres, RLU, hazard light circuit, factory silencers (Mufflers?)original shox and the fork springs all got tossed right at the start, while I added the ability to turn off the lights.......

Development has continued since then, but a lot was done way back when......

                canceller

Yep, they work on both of my XS's. When they didn't, I fixed them. Couple of my riding pals wish they had them, and so do I. I'm tired of riding in back of them for 7 miles watching their flashers never cancel. Lol.

                  Hey AlanB,

One of your fellow Scotsmen: Miti-Babe and ELDR designed an electronic auto-cancel that will work on a no-load system here
I haven't gotten around to building one for my bike yet.

can't tell if they are working or not, it's such a pain in traffic (trying to manually cancel triggers opposite signal) that I end up not using the lights at all!

Try just mashing the button rather than attempting to move it.
This should turn it off. At least it does on my '79 and my 82 XV920 was the same.

Mine work but it rarely gets the chance to cancel. I mostly push in on the button after I make a turn. Just habit.

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.

Although i no longer have the TeXSive 81H, the signal cancels did always work well.
