It's alive! I have finally finished reworking my 100 dollar 1979 XS 1100. Thanks to some of ya fellows I was able to repair the floats in the carbs by replacing the float valves. Fired it off this evening and it runs good. I hope to put it on the road this week end. If all goes well and it passes the road test I put it up for sale. Again thanks

Nice to hear of yet another XS 1100 up and running again. Just watch out for the road test…you just may fall in love with the bike and not wish to sell it, (that’s what happened to me).Ironride

I went for a ride on this great bike yesterday. What a trip! I am used to my Roadstar and wouldn't trade it for any machine out there but I have to admit that this XS is a fun ride. It runs real well and I am sure glad that I had a tight hold on it when I craked the throttle. What a rush! Since i can't ride two bikes I am going to put the XS up for sale. I put alot of time and effort bringing it back from the dead and will always be proud that there is a 79 XS11 on the road because of my efforts and some help from you folks. Again thanmks and enjoy. Frank
