  • "WildKat... Come on down!"

One more Post, WildKat... just one more!

I debated for weeks what to do for this occasion.
    How to celebrate it?
    What should be the theme?

    "Famous first females?

    First Woman:

    First Housewife:

    First woman in space:

Then I thought... Maybe something CAT themed... and I thought of all the Female Cats that have stimulated me over the years like WildKat has done.
    Cat Woman:
    Pussy Galore:

Ok, this one was a little obscure, but she's the Cat/Human from "The Island of Dr. Moreau" (a saucy little bit she was, too!)

But, be that as it may...
May I proudly present to you all.....
    Our first "FEMALE" GURU.....
The lovable, effervescent and terribly witty kitty....

    WILDKAT

WildKat... come on out here and take a bow... preferrably wearing that XS11 thong!

        I'm touched

(which could explain a few things)

        Thank you, thank you!
No applause... just money... or better yet... hard to find parts...

I too, have thought about what I would say on this most momentous occasion... maybe post a few of the things that I've learned along the way... but no... not today... I will continue to leave most of the advise giving to those Gurus before me... and to those who we all know are Gurus even without the 1000 posts... Dan Hodges... AlanB... MathH... LOTS of others who have proven to be most honorable and reliable in their service to this site...

I live with a true XS Guru... whose invaluable knowledge has lead me through several engine repairs and in depth lessons on our various stable... and who is usually able to answer any and all questions I have that are XS related... so I don't ask a lot of questions here... but I do enjoy the comaraderie that I have gained through this site... I have established some awesome friendships and gained some new family through membership here... something that doesn't come along often...

Today's date was specifically chosen for my Gurudeness... It may seem rather corny to some... but it's halfway between the date I joined XS11 back in 2004... and the date in 2005 that John had his accident... both momentous dates in my XS life... It was after John's accident that truly brought me closer to many here... warm wishes and support bonded us in ways that have been quite comforting over the past few years...
        Thanks to all for that...

My Guru title will soon be changed to something a bit more appropriate (before someone starts screaming about the unfairness of the system here) but I'll enjoy it for a couple of days...

Thanks again... it's certainly a great ride!

(and thank you for the warm welcome, my Dear prometheus... quite good company you have put me with... Eartha Kitt was a great Catwoman... but Julie Newmarr was always my favorite)

                Purrrrfect...

                Congrats WildKat!
Whatever future title accompanies your name, Guru you are!
Whenever I am asked what I would like my title to be, I always opt for 'Your Majesty'. It hasn't worked yet, but you could give a shot...Naw, you're not the type. Too down to earth, too nice and too clever.
Julie Newmarr, definitely #1. Where'd she get that waist?!

Welcome to Guru status, Kat, and well done on your post #1000. Of course, now that we've got a woman to this level, we of the ol' boys club of previous gurus may have to rethink the welcoming rituals and rewards. All of a sudden, life is so much more complicated...
