  • My paint project

All this recent talk of new paint has been killing me I've had my tank and covers out for the last 5 weeks. So today it's all back. The before and after.

Nasty dent from the PO and drag bars.

Black Pearl Metallic with a Vintage Copper insert and a Gold pinstrip.

All the body work prep paint clear whole job 250.00 I had the headlight bucket done in the solid black.

Well i just opened my wallet to my painter he did the rest. It's Sikkens paint. And I stole part of the color scheme from an 08 Ford F-150 Harley Edition. We made some minor changes to it and there it is. looks great on the bike pics as soon as the rain stops.

                        Nice paint

but your pics omitted a step. How did you get the dent out? Or is it just filled with Bondo?

Painter/body guy went through the filler neck Grant works for the local Chrysler/Ford dealer so they built a few tools to get the dent out. I was not there for that either.
I picked colors and paid. I find it easier that way sometimes. I'm not a body or paint guy. I'm a mechanical guy trade so I know my limitations and don't even pretend to be a body guy.
