  • My 500th post

It's only taken me three years and now here I am, Xsive Maximus!

Out of my 500 posts I'd reckon one may have been useful.

At least I didn't hurt anyone.

well some of us actually spend more time riding that BS'ing on the internet.Congrats on the Jr.Guru status...at the rate i am going I'll make it to the 500 post mark pretty soon and I havent even been here a year...ON another forum for my Honda ST1100..I already supassed the 1000 post mark and I did it in 8 months... but they dont give status or recognition for just the post count...recognition for one's contribution to the forum is given in the form of Member of the month and eventually Member of the Year awards...YMMV

          "XS11 Kung Fu theatre."

"Come here, young Kwai Chang ."
          "Yes, Master?"
"Kwai Chang... A man builds a fence with 500 posts. Which post is most useful?"
"All posts are equally useful, Master."
"And is it so with the tailor, Kwai Chang? Is one thread more important than the other?"
"No, Master Po. All threads are interwoven to make the whole."
"And what of Australians who give mechanical advice, young grasshopper?
"They are to be mocked and driven from the temple before they harm someone."
"You are wise, Kwai Chang Caine. I now send you to America to beat up people."

                "Which one, I noted three."

You mistakenly said three years instead of two.
You mistakenly think something you've said might have been useful.
The third one... (I'm awaiting the autopsy results... but it doesn't look good.)

Hey Stralya,( I spelled it right)

Congrats on your promotion! Keep at it, you'll learn something eventually! Just Kidding!

Hey Prom, that was an Xtraordinarily "MASTER"ful display of penmanship!!! Was one of my favorite shows way back when!

Believe it or not, a grasshopper is part of my family crest!

                    Hi Guys,

No-one noticed my 500! (possibly no-one noticed any of the 500! LOL!)

                    Done in about 18 months........

                      Another Country heard from!

Get it, another country....Australia, and now Scotland..!

                      Just had to say it!

But seriously, Alan, the site recognizes your accomplishments by granting you the rank you now have. Most of us don't necessarily make any bother about it until folks attain the 1k mark. It was just that Stralya brought it up himself, and so we HAD to respond in Kind, or Unkind in Prom's case!!

But we can tell that you are already an honorary Guru in the quality of your comments/replies!!

                        Hi TC,

Thanks for the kind words.... Makes it all worthwhile! I didn't expect to be noted for 500 (or any number of posts!) But I had a chuckle when I spotted that one of my few throw-away/ spam type comments was my 500th, just after I posted it.....LOL!

It would have been good to put a pic of my newly-finished rebuild up to celebrate, but it is still a bit wet to paint bodywork here........

                          Basking in the Glory...

How wonderful it is to be ripped on by such an expert. While I'm the target, everyone else is relatively safe.

                            A close thing!

I thought that this was about to be my first raggin' from Prom (a true sign of acceptance!) But since I am not close to the southern end of the world, I escape again! (sorry Stralya!)
