Thats a nice looking item and the price is'nt too bad either. I like the wheels.
My center stand just hung too low and got in the way with my exhaust so I decided to take it off. But there are times that the center stand is just a necessity, such as tuning, repairs and polishing. I found a drill that was the diameter of the outside hole on the frame nounts for the center stand and used that to drill out the inner hole to the same diameter. Then I got two long bolts with about a 3" unthreaded shoulder. I then sawed the threaded portion off so that they were just pins. Now when I need the center stand I put it up under the bike and insert the pins through the frame mounts and Voila! Taking it off is as easy as putting the bike on the side stand and pull out the two pins and the center stand drops onto the floor.

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.
I just shelled out triple that for a side stand for the single sided swingarm, and that one looks to be very solid. I have already shaved off the center stand mounts from the bike. You lose about 7-8 lbs getting rid of it....chop

I have 3 ways to hold the bikes upright here. I also have one similar to the one in the ad, except it has rubber coated flat spots that the swing arm sits on (instead of pins) and it folds up. It wouldn't work on my XS11s because the shaft side is round.
The Condor wheel chock cost 250 bucks. It looks like I could have made one just like it pretty easily.
So since I have quit spending all my money on booze, I now spend it on tools and bikes and parts and...
Quite a collection - all runners? Paticularly like the old Norton in the background, my older brother had one of those new in about 1958 - don't quote me too much on that I wasn't around so don't know for sure.

Tkat brace, new coils/wires/plugs, refurbed carbs (thanks 81 xsproject), recon'd top end, windshield (thanks dpotter58), resprayed tank and panels, 4-1 exhaust, sweet xs pod filters, in line fuel filters, progressive springs, thick hand grips, jumped headlight relay.
I can only ride away on 5 of them, one of the projects runs, but won't go anywhere yet and 3 other projects in verious stages of completion. The Norton seems to be a crowd favorite and for good reason. I can't wait to get my round-toit back for that one, I miss riding it.
The Torin Takedown stand that Dbeard speaks of might be for a sport bike, with the hollow axles.
A person could easily weld a triangle shaped peice of steel to the tops or bottoms of their XSs swing arm and drill holes for the stand pins. You would have to get creative for the mount peice to clear the pumpkin on the left side.
