  • A well spent day.

I don't know if any of you XSers know anything about Port Townsend Wa. or not, but for those of you who's wives love the movie "An Officer and a Gentleman", it was filmed here. Which means that we get more than our share of tourist and today was no exception, when the sun is out this place fills up with bikes, so I spent my day today riding, watching bikes and visiting with friends at the local bike shop, which is an old converted gas station just as you enter town. I couldn't have asked for a better day. For any of you who are within riding distance, should try to make the trip at least once this summer. I hope all of you had a good day as well, whether it was riding or wrenching in preperation for the next sunny day.

    Port Townsend, WA

When I was a little girl, we took a trip there, just the 'fam'. My dad was fond of going on camping trips, and finding out of the way places. It is what they would call a 'lovely hamlet'. I still remember it.
It's great that you had such a nice day. Enjoy it! Life is about the memories we make, and the people we meet. Not the other way 'round. Blessings and ride safely.

I have been to Port Angeles, Sequim, and to Olympic Nat'l Park...My Grandfather used to live at Sunland Golf Course about 12 years ago. Beautiful country. I would give my left nut to be able to ride up there.

SWMBO and I were through there a couple of years back. We had travelled down 97 as far as Yakima, deaked out to Long Beach for a couple of nights, then headed up that way to go across through the north Cascades towards home. Seemed like a nice place, but we really only spent as much time as it took to wait for the ferry to Whidby Island. Might have to get down there another time and spend some time exploring...
