Actually, I think Yamaha will bring back the XS11 in a "Special Platinum Edition"
    1979 XS11F Standard - Maya - 1196cc (out of order)
    1978 XS11E Standard - Nina - 1101cc

      Bring back the XS1100!!!

      Yea!
Bring back the XS1100 with new age upgrades.
I think they kind of did with the FJR1300.
It's a little more sportbikeish but from what I have read on it so far is real nice. And the 2004 model imho is awsome!
They made changes from the 2003 model that addressed the 2 things I had issues with and added ABS brakes as an option.
I don't care for ABS on a bike. Just my preference.
Anyway I did not care for the all black wheels and no storage in the fairing on the 2003.
Even though the storage is small they did add it and the color keyed wheels. And a two tone paint job to boot.

Yes I would like to see a 2005 XS1100 with the basic design intact and added modern upgrades for performance and handling.

Think we could afford one? Well I think I would beg borrow and steal to get one...;-P

The XJR1300 is pretty darn close, if only they would import it here. Replace the flip up tail with a fender, and it would be a totally updated XS1100
