    Vanity plate

    Hi Wildkat,
back when I only had an XS650 my boys decided I needed a vanity plate for Father's day. Now I'm too cheap to pay that kind of money, but as a gift, why not?
So fill out the forms, I wanted XS650. Seems that was a no-no because "It has the same alphanumeric format as the ordinary number plate." WTF? Buncha wankers. Now my first alternative was FRED but that was already taken, as were FRED 1 thru FRED 9 and no way would I be FRED 10
so I settled for plain ol' XS. Which turned out for the best as I can hang it on my XS11 without contravening the truth in advertising laws.
So, how about a key fob that says just that:- XS. Perhaps with XS on one side and the triple tuning fork logo on the other? Now the market is every XS series bike ever built, from the XS400 all the way up to the XS11.

      I like that suggestion.
It would be cool to have the Yamaha logo on it.

I think as this is the anniversary key fob, it should stick with the '78. I DO like the idea of a key fob with the tunning forks on one side, and just XS on the other!

I like C. Simple and to the point, about the birthday of the bike that is truly iconic. Even among the 11s all others followed in her foot prints .. OH make that tire tracks :-)

              How about the "Special"

I have one of you old ones, but would like to see one with something about a "SPECIAL" on one side.

The "specials" were introduced in 1979. Her big 30th birthday will be next year.

XS and tuning forks sounds great. Don't know how that copyright guestion enters in though (suspect Yamaha would not have a problem with it for only our use)

                    It does sound good...

but I won't touch that one... as I stated in another thread... I have a problem using an emblem that Yamaha is still using as their trademark...
It may not be a big deal to them... but with the way my luck has been this year... I'm not taking any chances...

I know... I asked for suggestions... My fault... what I should have said was... "Since nobody else posted any options when previously requested... this is what I came up with... Please choose from these designs and I will order the one that most people choose..."

                    Thanks all!

                      Anyway

Just having the key fobs is enough.
                      Cool either way.
Thanks Wildkat for all you do...It's appreciated!

                        Update

I went with the design on C and should have them ordered by this afternoon or tomorrow at the latest... Looks like there is about a 3 week wait on them and I will let everyone know the final cost (including shipping) as soon as I find out.
The final size is approximately 2" X 2.5" (about the same size as the old fobs) I think... will be close anyway...
