  • Carbon fiber

    Anyone here have experience with carbon fiber forming? I have access to woven sheet material and wanted to experiment, but have never messed with it before.....Basically can it be formed and set in a clear polymer like fiberglass or is a vacuum really required?

    you can use it and form it like glass but the strength is in the layers just ike glass i ahve used vacum forming for a few things works great i havent done much in open air im sure it would work just work out any bubble and press for a good fit

            Hey Chop you can go to UScomposites.com and order the resin rt from them tehy are low priced and have all teh realse agents to if ya wana make molds for tail sections and fenders.

              Chop, IIRC, you also need to BAKE the part! Keep that in mind.
