    Sorry Craig

But you must have me mistaken for someone who has money and time to do this. I have neither, but if want to buy me the kit, I'll find time to build it.

            Hey Gino

Think the Navy would let us take a cat shot, and a trap? Could probably deck launch that little thing.

That would be awesome, but very expensive. I don't know if I would trust myself to build something like that.

A cat shot would definately test the airframe. I always envied the F14 pilots on the carrier. They got to fly the coolest and most challenging planes, didn't stand midwatches and got away from the boat for a few hours nearly every day.

So what if the bird could kill you, Joe Iranian was always trying to make you crap your pants with his F14 and getting back to your rack meant you had to plant a screamng pile of aluminum and titanium on a pitching deck in the dark in near blackness? Still sounds COOL.

I wonder what the price of the kit is...

Hey, we don't really need a house do we?

Just googled BD 10. Seems there were only three made and one of those broke up on the test flight and made Jello out of the pilot.

It's put together by the same folks who made the Jet for James Bond's little hangar flyby in Octopussy (oh man, what a thread idea, James Bond!). They are based in Medina Ohio. That's just a two and a half hour ride for me, mmmmm.

They don't offer the Jet Kit on their web site, but do have some sharp prop jobs. No mention of prices that I have found yet. The day is young...

Question is, after you spend all the time and $, where are you going to go supersonic? There is a guy in Arizona (I think thats where he is) that has an F-104 Starfighter and they wont let him go supersonic. I dont think there are any civilian flight levels that the FAA will allow supersonic operation.

Hmmm, I wonder what speeding ticket would cost?

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.

According the BEDE Aircraft Website, no BD 10 has gone supersonic. Would be fun though, say, just off the Florida Coast and see how many condo windows you could shatter.
