  • Another big thanks!

I have just completed the repairs necessary to make my beast run and handle like a champ. Words alone can not explain how excited i am to have my xs. I used to have a Honda cx650c. Was way to small for me. Neighbor was moving/retiring to Florida and told me, "My wife said either im going to florida with you or the bike is going to florida, but the bike and I are not going to florida together." Was able to get it for $600. Sold my honda for $1600. I think I just spent a total of $1500 seat, shocks, shop supplies, carb part, bearings... on the xs. And it is sooo much better!

My wife is happy to. She said" If you put half the time you work on the motorcycle into the house, everything would be perfect. " Luckilly I am satisfied with the xs and now can spend some time on her new curtains, trim, floors.

Thanks again to all of you! Spring has arrived. And I have an awesome bike. There is more work to be done on her. But, that will have to wait for next winter. Its time to ride.

Your bikes looking sharp and ready to go. It's always nice to put down the wrenches and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

You hit the nail on the head. I'm done with wrenchs for awhile. Been holding them since I joined in February 2-3 months.

Its 80 degrees here today. Was able to take the bike to work since ladders/large tools were not required. I thought they said 72 in the forcast. Was wondering why I was sweating so damn much. Thought there was a chance I had too much coffee. Nope... Its 80 degrees. Tomorrow will be 40 (Gotta Love Denver)

Well, I'm off for some good fishing in Bull Shoals, Arkansas on Friday. Finally a vacation! The best part of it all. My sweet bike awaits for my return after an awesome fishing trip.

                Hi Getty,
your neighbor's loss was your gain for sure. There used to be a T-shirt that had a much shortened version:-
"She said she'd leave me if I kept the bike"
                Underneath that it said:-
"Oddly, now & again, I still think of her."

                  80 XS G

Yours looks alot like the "new" one I just got last Fri. Looks awesome. CO is like here-80 one day and then 35 the next-at least you got out on it so soon.
These guys are great! If there's a rally out your way, you should go. I want to go to the one here, just hope I can get her running tomorrow. I want to buy them all dinner!
Enjoy your vacation, and especially the bike when you get home!
