  • Bob Jones Memorial Ride

Mods, please excuse me. I know this doesn't normally go in here, but thought this one was kind of special.

Bob's wife is planning a memorial ride for him and thought that if I posted it in here, it would be seen better and give people a chance to plan for it that otherwise may not have seen it.

    I'd like to participate.

But the next weekend, May 24 and 25 is Memorial weekend with a Monday off for a lot of folks. That would be a good weekend too. I would only take off 4 days and still have a 7 day "vacation." AWESOME!

But the next weekend, May 24 and 25 is Memorial weekend
I can see both sides, but I also know in that area on Memorial, the Harleys will be out creeping down the road in force that weekend.

So.. take 2 days and have one 4-day weekend, work 3 days and have a 3 day?? Or take off 5 and get 10?

Just bumping this back up. Is there no interest to speak of in meeting up for this ride? If it's bad timing and other dates are hoped for, speak up. As it is, Bob's wife probably feels like nobody wants to come.

          We want to...

but May is incredibly busy for us (until the end of school is incredibly busy for us)... On top of everything... my niece is getting married on the 17th... although my preference is the ride... I may have to drive my Mom to the wedding...

That's what I'm saying.... Maybe suggest other dates to her then?? It takes a lot of input and opinions to get a gathering of people together, and you try to find out what's best for MOST.

Back when it was posted about Bob's passing, there seemed to be a lot of interest in a memorial ride, but now it seems that the interest isn't there.

              Count me in.

I am so close, you can pick it and I will be there.

my brother said he could probably make it if we get a date pinned down, so he can plan for it.

                        Bob Jones Memorial Ride

Karla asked me to pass this along. . . . Bohn

                        Hi Guys,

We decided on a date for the Memorial ride for Bob. Saturday June 7th we will meet in Harrison, Arkansas at 9:30 at the Hardee’s. Please mark your calendars. We will then go down 7 Hwy about one hour to a spot in the mountains Charlie and Bob used to stop at. Please contact me with questions or concerns. Also, please send on or contact anyone else you know is interested. I’ll get back to you with more information later (the exact address of Hardees).

                        Thanks,
