  • A Canadian guy complimented my bike...

Was out enjoying the weather this weekend and riding the bike. I stopped at a Yamaha shop to check out the bikes. Some guy pulled up on a V-Strom. He walked right up to me and started complimenting my bike. He said he was from Canada and that he was glad to see I was taking care of the XS and "keeping it going." He complimented the paint, etc. I told him thanks and that I was an amateur painter, but that I had owned 3 XS11's before. Also told him about my carb swap. He said he rode to Mexico not very long ago and someone in the group completed that ride on an XS11.

    Nice guy.

You know the rules if a Canadian guy compliments you. Your now engaged. Congrats.
I hate signatures. Too many cars and Bikes to list here.

Does that mean... forget it... I don't really want to know!

Old bikers never die, they're just out of sight!

My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"
              I've been riding since 1959.
