I humbly accept my new status (and figure on fully cashing in on all the perks, what are the perks?). I think, as with any Guru here, the status is reached by the unselfish sharing of information from other members along with the flashbulb bright ideas and innovations we have all come up with as we nurse a busted knuckle, or lengthed our bald spot as we rubbed our heads trying to figure out how to fix or make something better. In my XS infancy, had I not found this sight, I might very well have passed the bike on 'cause it was causing too many headaches.
The brother (and sister) hood here is incredible and I am sure it is responsible for many a frustrated XS owner continueing their struggle, and succeding, to get a fantastic machine back on the road. I have made many friends here, both in person and on-line and I am truely richer for it. (don't know how you guys feel ) There are times (just a few) where I kinda feel guilty since I bought my XS pretty much turnkey. I haven't had to grind on 2nd gear, free rusted pistons, swap a final drive or search high and low for the correct fender bolts. One thing for sure, I know just where to go when/if I have to.

So, to the humble masses, prepare the feast!! Wine and grog for all. Declare a holiday. And bring on dem virgins (not all at once though ) gotta pace myself.
