  • Bringer of bad new's

Hate to be the bringer of bad news, BUT, I've thought about it long and hard and have decided to sell MIYAMI. I have not listed it for sale yet, nor have I parked it in my yard yet.
I figured I'd offer it up for grabs to other members of this site first.
$1700.00 takes it, as well as the XJ engine/trans/middle drive/final drive ( has a broken oil pan ), Also comes with a spare SF head, SG seat, ( will fit MIYAMI ) oil filter adapter ( has not been installed yet, And a box of small misc. parts.
I will say it's been a good ride while it lasted, but I've got other things pressing that need attn, and she won't be rode for a few years.
Drive in with a cage, ( also to take the rest of the doodads home ) ride home on the bike. I'd trust it wherever you want to go.
    PM me if seriouslly interested.

Also, Please don't be to quick to give me a rash about my decision. It is a tough one.

    Mike,
I understand that needs change, and I know it's HARD for you. I can't fit anything else in my place, or I'd fly up and ship the rest home!
You WILL stay on the site, even as you wait for everything to "blow over" so you can get back on two wheels, right??

Find a nice corner somewhere and put her up on stands. She will last for a few years till she can be rode again.

          Hi Czekus,
us sidecar operators (except for the lucky few who's rigs have a reverse gear) have this rule:- "Never park anywhere that you can't drive away from going forward."
Now I dunno what circumstances drive your decision to sell but how far will $1,700 take you these days anyway?
Unless you are totally strapped for cash perhaps nailing the bike up in a crate for later is an option for you?

            Czekus21,

I don't know the reason for your selling your bike, but I know I will miss your commentary. Thanks for every word of it

Well everyone,,,, Paintman is the new owner of MIYAMI.
I know she's going to a good home.. Not to some kid to chop and hash up.
Sooooo. Now, I'm just the owner of what my signature says.
This doesn't meen that I'm not XSive.. On the contrary,,, I'll always be XSive. As I said a few years ago,,,, The Yamaha XS1100 is probably the best production bike ever produced.
I'll still be poking in here avery now and again and check up on things. May even still make a few rallies. May be awhile though till I get done what I gotta get done...

"I hear they wanted to put his head on Mount Rushmore..."

... but with all the praise you've given him, it swelled up beyond it's normal bloated size and will no longer fit.

                    Czekus,
Many's the time I've enjoyed myself at your expense...
                    I will sorely miss that.
