I've never owned an ATV, looking to buy a used one. Any input on real-world experience would be helpful. So far have looked at a Polaris 500 Sportsman, Yamaha Grizzly 660, and a Kawasaki Prarie 650.
This is going to be a general purpose, trail riding machine for a guy who is 6' 1" and 265 lbs. Riding is at elevations of 6,500 - 10,500 feet. 4-wheel drive is a must. I've been looking at 500 cc and larger.
Only one I have ridden was a Suzuki, can't remember the model.
Hope to spend $2,500 - $3,000, less is better as far as SWMBO is concerned. If anyone has a used one for sale, let me know, or if you run across a suitable one at a friend's house or whatever, please let me know. I live in western Colorado, would prefer something I can pick up within 500 miles or so. Utah, California, Wyoming, Arizona at the outside.
