    Nice recovery Fred!

I have mine on my 80 SG and like the way it looks. I will keep mine on.

To me that would be like tossing your door pannels on your car after you installed new speakers just incase you were ever to replace the speakers again.

For that fact, just remove the hood of your truck and toss it so you don't have to deal with it when checking your oil.

      False analogy?

      Hi Brian,
a truck hood keeps the rain off the motor and helps streamline the vehicle (as much as a truck can be streamlined, that is) while interior door panels stop those sheetmetal edges from snagging my wife's pantyhose. Both are needful parts of a vehicle and if they weren't there you'd notice. A plastic bib that if your bike didn't have one when you got it you wouldn't know it should be there is another story. But if you are happy that your bike does have one, I'm happy for you too.

Thank you! You have redeemed yourself in my eyes!

I KNOW that was very important to you!

I'm one of those twits that finds an unused screw hole and wants to find that which is supposed to be there....
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

I have several of those covers if somebody needs one. And somebody asked whewre they bolt up? There is a bracket that is attached to the frame by the forward coil mounting bolt. If you don't have that bracket, then somebody omitted it when they R&R'd the coils.

            Hi Craz,
like John just posted, the plastic bib bolts to a bracket that hangs off one of the coil bolts and one of the nasty neglectful POs must have ditched the bracket as well as the bib, most likely when the aftermarket coils were put on. So there were no unused holes for me to fret about. Not like those nuts on the exhaust with sheared off stubs of fasteners in them where those chrome shields should have been attached. Now those I could have gone for but not enough to pay for them or to attempt to salvage the plugged threads.
