To me that is like watching someone torture a kitten.
However, there are a lot of people out there, who have just like to see things wrecked. They have no appreciation for anything.
I've seen several engine-blow contests over the years, and I still don't understand the appeal.
Back in 1984, I was at a rally where they did this to a Honda CB350 for a charity contest. They couldn't get the bike to run, on it's own, so a guy actually held the throttle open (at the carb), with his hand, until the motor threw a rod.
