Currently have three tatoos. The last was a birthday present to myself several years ago. Was considering getting more work done but my daughter asked me to stop at 3 (she also asked me to stop at nine piercings).
Only one of the three is colored and that happens to be my least favorite. If I was able to do it over again, all three would be black.

Actually, it's more about the original game (RIP my original NES), but I'm also a fan of the comic.

That's what I was actually getting at with the "know your roots" statement, but figured you were a fan of (or at least familiar with) the comic as well.

This text has been modified.
Must have been the Gideon's Bible I stole from the motel...)
I hate newer PC bibles....
Most of the older ones still speak about "the men which sit upon the wall... ... that they may eat their own dung and drink their own piss with you."
I'm sorry, just one of my favorite passages...
As a lot of people have religious quotes stencilled on their flesh, figger'd I'd just pass this one along.
This re-editting, though, I find disturbing.
Actually, had I given the subject a little more thought... I would have recommended getting Leviticus 19:28 tattoo'ed:
"Ye shall not. . .print any marks upon you. .."
(Oh, the irony...!)
"Damn it Jim, I'm a doctor, not a mechanic!' ('Bones' McCoy)
But the commander replied "Was it only to your master and you that my master sent me to say these things, and not to the men sitting on the wall-who like you, will have to eat their own filth and drink their own urine?"
Background.. The king of Assyria had attatcked Jerusalem. They were taunting the Jews trying to demoralize them. The Assyrian commander was shouting this among other things to the Jews.

TC,, My daughter has designed tattoos for a bunch of people. Now she's at this expensive Art school in Wash DC! I guess there's some kind of connection between the two..

XS11 FOREVER!
Sounds like you have seen Dave Wales tatoo also. It is big, bold, expresive. I believe he is a long term XS11 fan! Seems he is being modest. I have never seen a tattoo anything like it. Perhaps he will get pics posted.
No tats on me yet. I still think they are permenant.
TC,
After much info gathering, One morning you may KNOW as soon as you awake. That can be something you are not likely to regret.

I have 4, one was redone, so it is in relief, really freaks the girls out when they feel the picture, not just see it!
Basic rules: No names, No profanity, No team emblems or other easily recognizable commercial logo crap.
Pick what you like otherwise, you don't want the same as the rest of us anyway.
Other than that, I have no way of taking pictures of my own tattoos!
Also, never put them where no one can see them, otherwise what's the point, and never put them where you can't cover them for special occasions. All of mine are on my arms.
A loving husband comes home one evening all excited to tells his wife "Honey, I have just gotten a tattoo on my penis that says I love you"! She looks at him and said "Yep, that's just like you.... allways tryin to put words into my mouth"
Show your Tat's
I have no tattoo's, always thought I'd get one but haven't seen one that I liked that much. At one point I even drew a picture of an engine from a Kawasaki Triple that I thought would look cool.
I had sat around in bars and listened to the old guys talk about the tat's that they had gotten when they were kids ,in prison or in the service and how they wished they didn't have them or had waited. So I waited and now I've decided that I would be different and not get one at all.
I think since Curtis is a grown-up now, he should know what he wants.
The only part about this that I forsee being TC's big obstacle, will be the price. Tattoo's cost way more money now than I think they are worth. But the quality and detail is way better now than when we were kids.
