  • 1979 xsessive!

4 years ago I bought an xsessive , little did I know then how attached to this wonderfull machine I would become.
Needless to say, at first it was "just another big jappa"
But that was not the case to be in the end.
The first year of ownership. was to visit a bit of crumpet that lived 500+k from me.
I needed a bike that would get me there, without falling prone to mechanical error.
25GXB ( numberplate number), was residing in a mates garage, in the state of gathering vast quantites of dust.
I needed a ride that was to take me, faultlessly, to the deep southern most lakes of NewZealand, Knowing the reliability of its spawn, the mighty V Max, I knew that Xsessive was the Machine!
But for all that, I only needed to do the 500k trip twice, and the ***** (lady) was mine!
So! For the next Twelve months Xsessive lay gathering dust in the garage, Far south in the land of the Fiordland National Park newZealand!
Twice in that time she graced to awsome venue of Fiordland National Park, the largest untamed area of the world!
For those who dont know visit www.fiordland.org.nz
That ride is one of the best in the world.
Xsessive lay forgotten in the shed, she didnt moan, no rust accessed her crome, she just waited with patence for the day she knew would come.
A shift to the Waipara Valley Wine growing area, on the back of a truck no less, put her back into a garage, to be left gathering dust, cobwebs saddened that her road killing days seemed to be over, see, www.waiparawine.co.nz
The ***** (lady) decided that a new plan was needed and she purred off in a new direction.
Alone again I turned my eyes to the first love of my life
    Riding on the road!
Thankfully I had undercover in the shed my xsessive!
With a touch of the starter, I knew she was not happy with the neglect I had showen this ole girl.
A new Battery was needed to entice her into life, soon to be followed by a new front tyre,
Respond she did well, then a biker ralley saw her become part of a new life style, a new beginning, a midlife crisis, whateva you wish to call the indulgence of the road on a XS ElevenF.
So joining up with a NewZealand Biker group www.kiwibiker.co.
allowed me to experiance the joy of group riding and the social life that comes with this.
    but the old girl protested.
A change of oil, clean out the exhaust of crap, and wow!~
    Clutch slip over 5000rpm!
    W T F!!!!
for ****s sake, she is giving me grief for ignoring her.
    But!
    I found this place!!!!!!
    Thank you so much .
The spark plug washers under the springs cured that problem.
The tread on rear drive shaft lubrication....well obvious in the end
and a multipile of other little tips have turned my ride into a mile munching beast!
This weekend I have just returned from a 741kilometer hard run with 8 other bikes, the eldest being 2001!
She performed perfectly all the way.
The objective was a biker ralley, 1800 bikes!
and the only xsessive was mine!
let our rides still show the way for the future , they are a ****ing good bike!
If you access the site, www.kiwibiker.co.nz and do a search for Subike
you may find some posts that I have made, even a vid of me and xsessive burning out an old bridgestone tyre, then falling on the ground!
enjoy buddies in X S land!

Mate, I know Fiordland very well. Was born and bred there for 22 years before I moved on. Lived in Te Anau way before all those bloody tourists moved in.

Tis great being the only XS in a large group. Last toy run over here had around 6000 bikes and I didn't see another XS.

Welcome aboard. Do keep in mind that this is a family oriented site and we try to keep the language fairly clean. Also, if the clutch resumes its slippage, you may want to try TC's extra steel plate mod that is in the mods section. Again, welcome to channel 11.
