After looking for several years, I finally found myself a brand new pair of U.S. made Air Force jump boots with lace-in zippers. These have been my riding boot of choice for the last 40 odd years and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a tough, comfortable boot, especially if you have to remove your boots to change your riding gear. They are getting harder to find now that most of the military has gone to camo boots, well worth the effort.

Do they have the "Jump Boots" at the AFB? If so, I may send my sister over to pick up a pair for me. That is what I used after my ETS in '75.Ray Matteis

That was my problem, I have two son-in laws in the Army, but none in the A.F. and the only boots in the surplus stores around here were cheap imports.Fastmover

I like the nice comfortable civvie boots that I get now - I'll never wear Army boots again by choice!!
