    This one is COMPLETE !!!

I just finished the LAST of the jobs to be done on this 1979 XS1100F restoration project. This bike is now completely stock and as close to mint as I can get her. I have no idea how much this project cost me but the job was a labor of love so to speak.
I can now fully focus my attention on the rebuilding of my 1978 XS1100E hop up bike.

Very nice job. I would like some more shots from different angles. It would be a better shot without the condom on the pipe though! lol. Makes us all wonder just what was involved in that "Labor of love..."

The engine and covers look especially nice. I would be afraid to ride it!

LOL I only noticed the bags on the pipes as I was posting the photos. The drop sheets were already down and back over top of her. LOL
I don't have room in the garage to turn her around but will take some shots in the spring in natural light.

I wish my bike looked that good.

Thanks for the kind words guys. It seemed fitting to complete her for the bikes 30th anniversary. I'll never forget the day I went to the bike shop to pick up my first XS1100. I was coming off a XS500 twin. I was full of excitement mixed with a healthy dose of fear.

It would be nice to see her in the 2009 calender with a better background and baggies removed :-) Backgrounds are difficult and that was why I hung my SHOP sheets behind her for the photos. If the background is too busy, like my garage, it takes away from the bike itself. In the spring I will try to find a nice spot for some decent photos.

This bike does run as good as she looks. She's a "turn key" motorcycle. However I only ride her on sunny days when the streets are dry and clean. That's why I am building my hop up bike. A bike that I can use day in and day out.

I also should and will THANK EVERYONE here on the board who helped me return this bike to her former glory.
                              THANKS
                              Rob
