  • Big mess

SWMBO is beginning to complain about the big mess in the garage. I don't know what she is complaining about

I leave a path so she can get from her car to the house?????

Besides, it's only been that way for a couple of weeks. Takes some time to change the engine and do all the little things on my list plus all the cleaning and polishing too, and since it's football season it doesn't leave a lot of time for those things.....

I must be missing something... Where is the mess? I wish I could see the floor in my garage....

      What I thought

That's what I thought, I don't see the mess either. Tools scattered about, motorcycle parts everywhere, bench totally cluttered, tool table fully covered.... I just see work in progress. She'll be happy soon, puttin' the exhaust on now, airbox and carbs then a try at starting and if things go right I'll be on the road by next weekend then I can sweep the floor and make her happy.

Speaking of tools on the garage floor. I notice my dog prefers the taste of Craftsman to the lesser Chinese Kobalt brand.

One more thing, You wouldn't think it possible but a 10 year old can really cut a bolt in half with a $35.00 pair of electricians wire strippers.

If shes got a path, and a place to park her car... I don't see what her complaint is.

Maybe you misplaced her grinder wheel and she couldn't find it in all that stuff.

              Oh My Gawd!

              Is that Pathfinder?

It has been that way a few times! Last time I saw it like that, Delzell was going to fix one thing, and the next he knew there was XS all over his garage!

I think that was when the frame was painted.

Hope you get all the stuff on your list fixed.

I keep my garage pretty clean and leave her a path but it is snowing tonight and I had a few "Objects" in the way. Anyway I just crawled thru the back seat of her SUV to access the other side of the garage when I needed tools.

                  Planedick,

I just noticed the RC Plane hanging in your garage. Is that a Piper Cub? I am into the RC planes too.

                    Cub?

Yes, that's a Cub. I haven't flown for awhile and am trying to sell it before it gets to old to fly. It's a great flyer, got a Magnum 80 four stroke for really good performance, 83" wingspan.

Car in the garage? Thats a concept I do not adhere to!! The wife understands that the garage (aka, the MAN CAVE) is sacred ground. Entrance is granted only to those who will not rearrange my workbench, mess with tools or attempt to store unused clothing articles and the overflow of comforters without express permission from the MAN CAVE troll!!!! Is it not enough I have allocated precious space to the storage of unused bicycles, John Deere battery powered tractor, unneeded car seats and a bevy of other frivious items unrelated to the real mission of the MAN CAVE? Never mind the stainless steel turkey baster is now used to draw vile brake fluid from master cylinders. That baking sheet? Works great for draining final drive and middle gear oil. The cats "old" litter box, excellent drain pan for engine oil. If your battery powered toothbrush has found its way to my tool box, used to polish and clean "hard to reach" areas of my valve cover, buy a new one. I ride a shaftie now so you can have your crock pot back now, don't need to soak drive chains in hot oil anymore. I am keeping the pyrex measuring cup, works good for fork, middle gear and final drive refills.

                      When a 10 isn't enough, get a 11. 80g Hardbagger

                        Make your wife happy.
Make her feel that she at least has a little input into how you decorate your garage.

Note how 79XS11F managed to placate his wife's temper by thoughtfully using her designer sheets as part of his garage decor.

I feel there is a lesson here for all of us.

That's no fair, that pic was taken way back when we parked 'em in the living room. How else could you hava a show room model of a vintage bike. LOL You just hung up the sheets so we couldn't see your coffee table littered with MC parts and the grease stains on the couch. LOL

Man, I would love to have a garage that big. My little single car garage would barley hold a Yugo! If we had a nice size garage like that, SWMBO would just fill it with more precious items that we just can't get rid of. Apparently our children will shrink at some point and fit into all of those baby clothes again.....

Really, I don't see what your wife's complaint is.
