Ski Resort - Grand Opening!

After many years of planning, tomorrow is the grand opening of Revelstoke Mountain Resort . We've got press groups here from all over the world, and the whole town is just buzzing. My boss got out with the resort folks last week during their orientation exercises, managed to get in approx 10,000 vertical in about an hour and a half. He's still grinning from his first run in waist-deep champagne powder! For those who have been to Revelstoke, this is the mountain you look directly at from my back yard.

Ken is that on Mt Revelstoke?
I hope they haven't messed up the road that we road up to get to the fire tower and alpine meadows. That was a super ride and if the road is used any more it won't be much fun on a motorcycle if they have a resort on it.
As an after note I see some dumb Edmontonian has gotten himself lost and probably frozen to death there already.

Not to worry Don, Mount Revelstoke is still okay as it is National Park. The new resport is on Mount Mackenzie, the next mountain over.

I've had some contact from Search and Rescue, and things ren't looking good for the guy that got lost on the weekend. There's a lot of mountain out there, with a lot of unforgiving terrain once you cross the boundary lines.
