The High Priest of Temple Eleven will be sorely missed.

I went to his shop last month. I had ridden my Connie to see the grandkids in Omaha and on the way back to OK I stopped in KC. Bohn Frazier and I rode over to Merriam Cycles to see his operation. He has quite a shop there...but later he took us to his real stash. His personal garage at his house.

There he had quite a collection of Elevens. many of the Elevens pictured on the web site are here.

Bob was truly a character and the BIGGEST fan of the venerable XS Eleven. When I was slipping on my helmet to pull out of the drive he chewed me out for riding a Kawasaki.

I couldn't argue. He was right.

And in this wise Bob Jones will be missed.

Bohn told me he understood there would be a memorial ride next spring in Arkansas where Bob loved to ride. They are going to scatter his ashes along the highway on this ride. I will make every effort to be there. And I will be riding an ELEVEN.

      Wow.

I'm sorry to hear of his passing. I'm glad I got a chance to ride with him again this last October. If anyone hears news of this Arkansas ride in his honor, please be sure to post the dates.

He was extremely intellegent and championed the XS11 so passionately. He will be missed.

That really sucks . Meeting him and visiting Merriam were on the list of future to-do's. He certainly put the 'XS' in XSive and was certainly the Grand Puba of all XSives. I need to get in gear and order a book.

Great guy, glad i had a chance to talk to him and ride with him.

My sympathey to his family. There is never a good time to loose a loved one, but to have it happen during the holidays makes it even harder.

I will be watching for information on the memorial ride, I pan to be there.

                Bob Jones Memorial Ride

                Hi all.

I talked with Bob's wife today, and she feels that it would be a great send off for him to scatter his ashes in the mountains of Arkansas, the place he loved to ride the most. So as soon as hear of any dates I will be sure to pass them along to you all. Thanks also for all the kind words, I just still can't believe he is gone. It was just last October that we rode to Hot Springs, and then to Talihina for the rally. To me he was a great friend, and a mentor, and I will really miss him.

I had heard that he had an accident a little while ago. Was it complications from the accident that he succumbed to? Is anyone going to take over his business?

Kat and I had the opportunity to meet, talk and ride with him last spring at the TeXSive Lite rally in Jax. We bought one of his books from him and he signed and numbered it...#257

Im so glad I had the opportunity to speak with Bob at he TeXSive Rally last April, and ride with him.
I have known Bob online for many years. He helped me many times with both his advice and his products.
                        He will be sorely missed.

                        May he forever Ride Free.

I still go to his website and drool now and then.....

Yeah. I am going to have to stop putting off ordering the book now too, though maybe I waited too long.
I've been in more than one Hemisphere, and I wrote a book to help you do it too (or just prepare better for that week long road trip). Going Small, not just for the little guys.

                            Bob will be missed

This was sad news to me . I have talked with Bob many times on the phone, but never met him due to the distance between Merriam and Norway. He helped me out several times with parts and advice. I have his book "XS ELEVEN HEAVEN" ,he wrote to me on the inside : To Terje Andersen. In hopes that this book will only add to the pleasure you have on your XS Eleven and an appreciation for the past business we`ve done with you even in far away Norway. XS Elevens are everywhere.
