Posted January 2nd, 2008 by takeaction
Well good old Rupert Murdoch the owner of Fox News has lost nearly a billion dollars just today. The headline story on stock qoute is about Fox cutting candidates.

I wonder if this is just because the stock market going down in general, or does it have to do with the hell we have raised?

Here's a list of Fox News Sponsors to boycott until support for dishonest "news" (propaganda disguised as news) is no more. Write/email letters to these and local sponsors letting them know of your disinclination to buy from them while the shows they sponsor continue dishonest practices.

As a possible example, you could copy and paste the following into the email message after clicking on the particular sponsor link below:

This message is to let you know that until Fox News discontinues unfair practices of blurring partisan political opinion with news and calling it "Fair And Balanced", I will avoid buying products from sponsors of its shows. I have noticed your products advertised on this network. Please let me know if your company plans to continue this controversial support of this unethical practice through advertisements on this network or if I could consider to purchase your products again.

    • I'm as optimistic as the next Ron Paul supporter, but I seriously doubt we've already had a measurable effect on NewsCorp stock. It's just market fluctuation. That's not to say the *threat* of monetary loss isn't making an impact on the powers-that-be. We'll see.

      • Alternatives....

        PLEASE REMEMBER THIS FOREVER
Worse than you thought & worth remembering and this came from a Democrat.

        Dear Mr. Ex President Clinton,
I recently saw a bumper sticker that said, "Thank
me, I voted for Clinton-Gore." So, I sat down and
reflected on that, and I am sending my "Thank you"
for what you have done, specifically:

        1. Thank you for introducing us to Gennifer
Flowers, Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky, Dolly Kyle
Browning, Kathleen Willey, and Juanita Broderick.
        Did I leave anyone out?

        2. Thank you for teaching my 8 year old about oral
sex. I had really planned to wait until he was a
little older to discuss it with him, but now he
knows more about it than I did as a senior in college.

        3. Thank you for showing us that sexual harassment
in the work place (especially the White House) and
on the job is OK, and all you have to know is what
the meaning of "it" is. It really is great to know
that certain sexual acts are not sex, and one person
may have sex while the other one does NOT have sex.

        4. Thank you for reintroducing the concept of
impeachment to a new generation and demonstrating
that the ridiculous plot of the movie "Wag the Dog"
        could be plausible after all.

        5. Thanks for making Jimmy Carter look competent,
Gerald Ford look graceful, Richard Nixon look
honest, Lyndon Johnson look truthful, and John
        Kennedy look moral.

        6. Thank you for the 73 House and Senate witnesses
who have plead the 5th Amendment and 17 witnesses who
have fled the country to avoid testifying about
        Democratic campaign fund raising.

        7. Thank you, for the 19 charges, 8 convictions,
and 4 imprisonment's from the Whitewater "mess" and
the 55 criminal charges and 32 criminal convictions
(so far) in the other " Clinton " scandals.

        8. Thanks also for reducing our military by half,
"gutting" much of our foreign policy, and flying all
over the world on "vacations" carefully disguised as necessary trips.

9 Thank you, also, for "finding" millions of
dollars (I really didn't need it in the first place,
and I can't think of a more deserving group of
recipients for my hard-earned tax dollars)
for all of your globe-trotting. I understand you,
the family and your cronies have logged in more time
aboard Air Force One than any other administration.

        10. Now that you've left the White House, thanks
for the 140 pardons of convicted felons and indicted
felons-in-exile. We will love to have them rejoin
        society.

(Not to mention the scores you pardoned while Governor of Arkansas)

        11. Thanks also for removing the White House
silverware. I'm sure that Laura Bush didn't like the
pattern anyway. Also, enjoy the housewarming gifts
        you've received from your "friends."

        12. Thanks to you and your staff in the West Wing
of the White House for vandalizing and destroying
government property on the way out. I also
appreciate removing all of that excess weight
( China , silverware, linen, towels, ash trays, soap,
pens, magnetic compass, flight manuals, etc.) out of Air Force 1.

The weight savings means burning less
fuel, thus less tax dollars spent on jet fuel.

        Thank you!

        13. Please ensure that Hillary enjoys
the $8 million dollar advance for her "tell-all"
book and you, Bill, the $10 million advance for your
memoirs. Who says crime doesn't pay!

        14. The last and most important point - thank you
for forcing Israel to let Mohamed Atta go free.
Terrorist pilot Mohamed Atta blew up a bus in
Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and
imprisoned him. As part of the Oslo agreement with
the Palestinians in 1993, Israel had to agree to
        release so-called "political prisoners". However,
the Israelis would not release any with blood on
their hands.. The American President at the time,
Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren
Christopher, "insisted" that all prisoners be
released. Thus Mohamed Atta was freed and
eventually thanked the US by flying an airplane into
Tower One of the World Trade Center . This was
reported by many of the American TV networks at the
time that the terrorists were first identified. It
was censored in the US from all later reports. Why
shouldn't Americans know the real truth?

        What a guy!!

If you agree that the American public must be made
aware of these facts, pass this on. God bless
America and THANK YOU (once again) for spending my
        taxes so wisely and frugally.

        SINCERELY,
        A US Citizen

PS. Please pass along a special thank you to Al Gore
for "inventing" the Internet, without which I would
not be able to send this wonderful, factual e-mail.

AND THE REST OF THE STORY Hillary Rodham Clinton,
as a New York State Senator, now comes under the
"Congressional Retirement and Staffing Plan," which
means that even if she never gets reelected, she
STILL receives her Congressional salary until she
dies. (Would it not be nice if all Americans were
pension eligible after only 4 years?)

If Bill outlives her, he then inherits HER salary
until HE dies. He is already getting his
Presidential salary until he dies. If Hillary
outlives Bill, she also gets HIS salary until she
dies. Guess who pays for that?
        WE DO!

It's common knowledge that in order for her to
establish NY residency, they purchased a million
dollar-plus house in upscale Chappaqua , New York .
Makes sense. They are entitled to Secret Service
protection for life. Still makes sense.

Here is where it becomes interesting. Their
mortgage payments hover at around $10,000 per month.
BUT, an extra residence HAD to be built within the
acreage to house the Secret Service agents.

The Clintons charge the Federal government $10,000
monthly rent for the use of that extra residence,
which is just about equal to their mortgage payment.
This means that we, the taxpayers, are paying the
        Clinton's salary, mortgage, transportation, safety
and security, as well as the salaries for their 12
man staff -- and, this is all perfectly legal!

When she runs for President, will you vote for her?

How many people can YOU send this to?

Don't be so selective; we (taxpayers) do this for all ex-presidents, families, and first ladies. The Clintons are not unique.

I am surprised Ron Paul did as well as he did in Iowa - around 10 percent, I think - and believe his Libertarian stance will have an impact on the Republican primaries.

As for Fox, there is a good reason Keith Olberman calls them "Fox Noise". Remember Al Franken? Fox tried to sue him for using fair and balanced in a book title. The judge threw out the case.

          http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/...in567800.shtml

          Excerpt:

But the judge said Fox's case was "wholly without merit," and the trademark "Fair and Balanced," registered by Fox in 1998, was weak. He also said the network was "trying to undermine the First Amendment."

          End excerpt

Anyone who believes that Fox is 'fair and balanced" and depends on them for news is an idiot. Fox does broadcast some good football games, though.

          • Yeah, he didn't do too bad, considering where it was. I'm curious to see what New Hampshire thinks of him. He's got a long way to go though. I hope he's spending a lot of all that money he's made...he's gonna need it. I think what suprised me most was Rudy G.'s incredibly poor showing. Kinda happy about that. Not a big fan of him, myself.

All major news outlets have a bias of some sort. Fox was a response to years of unanswered bias on the left. And what a response it was! They are no better however. I avoid them all. News is just a big ol' drama fest now. Nothing substantial in it at all anymore.

I don't think I've ever seen unbiased news in my entire lifetime.

FOX, and CBS has decided they don't have enough room for all the candidates in the debate, so they just removed Ron Paul and Hunter. Talk about media control....... I think we all should send them an e-mail saying how outraged we are that they pull the political strings and rig the eledtions. Just a few more feet of stage space????? Sounds like bull***t to me.

I think that's Fox and ABC. And he did make it into the ABC debate. Fox are still being idiots, though. The NH GOP removed their sponsorship of the event because of it. Way to go NH GOP!

Scary how the media tries to choose the frontrunners before the people even get a chance.

Rudy G has a different strategy...go for the highest delegate states. Florida has more votes than Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina combined. (Republican primary votes, that is.) If he can pick up a couple of these states (California is another high-count state) then he does not have to do well in the smaller states. Its a gamble, but may pay off depending on his showing in Florida.

Watched both debates last night, first the Republican then the Democrat. I thought Ron Paul did OK; his emphasis on addressing the shrinking dollar was right on the mark.

His point about the price of oil relative to the dollar versus the price of oil relative to gold was interesting. I'd never heard that. The price of oil hasn't really changed much, the dollar is just worth a whole lot less.

Ron Paul is the only one talking about stuff like that. He's the only one who really cares, and I think he's the only one who really understands it.

Ron is also against the North American Union that BU$H signed into agreement in 2005 and it's existence still being denied while Aliens come here everyday illegally.

In Texas Ron says that the NAFTA highway that Governor Rick "Slime ball" Perry is being built on century old Farms and Land are being Emanate Domained.

Listen to Ron on Friday on the Alex Jones show. He talks about the New World Order and it's plan to take control of our Planet.

It's not like any of these networks are putting on the debates out of the kindness of the hearts or so that the public can be informed, it about money.

As was stated above, none of the networks are unbaised. Fox News is fair and balanced when you consider that CNN and PMSNBC is on the other side of the scale.

Naw. Those smears aren't even news. They were answered way back then, and it's been no secret since. Just a carefully-timed hitpiece (day of the NH primary). Pretty despicable.

It was a business venture while he was taking a break from Congress and practicing medicine. There was a bad seed in the organization writing for him, and he didn't exercise enough editorial control. His name got used for some questionable stuff. People were fired and he took responsibility right away. He screwed up, but who hasn't? One thing that's for sure is Ron Paul is not a racist.

Those weren't his words, any idiot can see it's not even close to his writing style. He's never expressed anything racist. He's well respected by his colleagues in Congress as a man of integrity and principle, even though he's a thorn in their side more often than not.

This is just a distraction perpetrated by people who'd rather make emotionally charged baseless smears than address the issues.
