I just picked up a can at Kragen's Auto Parts, 6.99 plus tax. You can also try Berryman's B12 Chemtool if Seafoam isn't available.
Welcome to the site, and plan for next September, the "Tahoe Rally".

Hey Ray...is there a date set for Tahoe yet?
Shiny side up,
650 Mike

XS1100SF "Rusty", runs great, 96k miles
XS650SJ "The Black Bike", engine from XS650H with 750cc big bore kit, 30k miles

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty and well preserved piece, but to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out and defiantly shouting, "WOW, what a ride !" - Sprung

plugs seafoam

Hey Garth,,,, the seafoam is found in the Kragen, or Autozone auto stores usually, call first, in the carb cleaner area, the plugs are crosslisted in their computers,NGK IX iridium 6637 BPR6EIX $7.32
Denso Iridium plug 5306 IW20 0.032 $11.99
Denso Single platinum 3291 W20EPRZU 0.032 $6.09, the members suggest the NGK iridium are the best, I have had good luck with the Autolite platinums but I dont have the number in front of me,,,,any auto store can cross it over in their computer. Seafoam or B12, found at Walmart, can clean out the fuel system nicely. Run a full can in a tank of gas and by the time it is nearly dry it should run better. Also check your air filter and put in a pair of carb fuel filters asap,,,,,,,good riding. Hopefully some day the west best coast can get a rally here in south cal. I live near the beach and the gambling casinos so maybe members would like a calif. rally someday. Regards, Mike, xj1100 1982

Mike and all,
The Tahoe Rally is ALWAYS Labor Day Weekend. We usually meet up Friday afternoon or Saturday morning, and get in a good ride on Saturday, an easy ride Sunday, and use Monday to start back home. High altitude and great two lane roads back and forth over the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Cheep but good Dinner at one of the local Casinos, and fun sitting around and shooting the $h|t with your favorite beverage in the evenings.
A rally in the southern part of the state would be nice as well. Maybe someone can set up a spring rally up or down the PCH??

local xs'rs

Geez, I'm pretty close too .... I ride to Valley Center all the time .... live in Temecula wine country but moving to the North County area over the next couple of months. Planedick loves to ride too and comes down to visit from Yorba Linda every so often ....maybe we could plan an elbow bending, lie swapping, ride & cruise for sometime over the winter .... ???

san diego xs gettogether

Hello to Wiz, Garth, DiverRay, and others. Yes it would be cool to set up a informal, formal XS,XJ rally down here. Spring is best for me only because my current kitchen remodel would be done by then. So if wife says go as soon as her highness gets her kitchen remodel done by yours truly, then my house would be good staging area. Plenty to ride to or do. So when remodel is done,us san diegans can figure out best time, place, dates to get the xs crew together. One hour to beach, Mexico, desert, mountains, from here. Valley Center, California, the last of the redneck areas in san diego. Regards, Mike Serrin
