  • Carving motorcycle-themed pumpkins with the fam

    Thought ya'll might appreciate these.

Makin' the wife do the hard ones! Yeah, there's a yammy in the stable now...

One for little Matthew, big Matt (me), and Mom

    Lights off.

Matthew with his. As you can see, that kid's a wiz with an X-acto knife.

      Yours are VERY cool!

(by the way, in case you're interested for next year... a Dremel works very well on pumpkin)

          "Oh, the memories..."

          I used to carve pumpkins...
I'd set the thing on the table...
Draw the outline of a face on it...
Grab a kitchen knife in my hand...
And then just start stabbing it over and over.
Oh, to be a child once again...
Life loses it's appeal as one grows older.

            Hi Pro,
you must have had a traumatic childhood.
            Er, who's face was it?

Actually, a SawzAll with a narrow blade works pretty well. Why risk stabbing yourself with a knife? Helps if you put the pumpkin between a couple blocks, though.....

One year I used a jig saw. Works better on small pumpkins than the SawzAll.

I don't play well with knives.
