Bummer to be selling but if you have others in crates your still good to go. Just how did you go about finding XS1100s in their crates after all that time?

I saw that too and was wondering if Yamaha just called it that for some import tax reason or some other reason to meet criteria in that market. I really can't see them wanting to make all the different parts that would be involved for 3 cc difference

I know I had seen that 1098cc somewhere also, but can't find it? I think I've seen it on the side of the engine!?
I just checked the Service Data on the Official Yamaha Parts Fiche site, and for the 78E it has 1101, for the 81SH it has 1102!
Following is Bore and Stroke:
71.5mm x 68.6mm x 4
(Pi x R sq'd)35.75 squared= 1278.06 x 3.1416=4015.16 x 68.6 = 275440.05 x 4 cylinders =110176.22 / 1000mm/CC = ~1101.7cc's or 1102cc's depending on how you want to round it, up or down!
Not sure if it was a ploy by Yamaha to mistate it's size for advertising, or insurance purposes??
