It's a real sin to think that a bike in that condition is only Worth that much. Sh*t .. Just getting it into that condition likely cost a lot more then that .

After some consideration a buddy of mine has offered up his heated garage so I will be keeping the Max after all.One never gets their money back when it comes time to sell no matter how much you've put into it.Once i have the dremel fix done then if I sell,It woill go for $2000.But hey its 25 freakin' yrs old!how much were these when they were new??Abt $3500?

i don't think you can't compare what $3500 was back in 79 vs $3500 now you gotta factor in inflation

The whole argument is abt what the bike originally cost as compared to what it might sell for today.Being that it is 25 yrs old and has been ridden for 20765 miles.Selling it for $1400-$2000 range is pretty damn good.Ofc this doesn't account for what i paid to upgrade the bike this past spring.One never really expects to get all their money back as the bike would then have to sell for abt$3700.More than it was worth new.
