I just did MapQuest, and it is 1167 miles and 17 hours driving time, from here to there. Sounds like a definate Iron Butt Ride for me. My last one was in 2003. From Daytona Fla to Scranton Pa. 1175 miles, 21 hours. (I was giving my at the time current wife a ride home)

Tod, bring a tent....... Mine's almost a portable house.... but it fits on the back seat of the bike......

We could all just make John and Kat's backyard a campground!

Course, I could use it as an excuse to go see my dad again huh?

When I first saw this thread I immediately decided to bring Pathfinder back to Texas for a visit. I had in my mind that Hurst was in Western Texas, but later I did a google search and found that it was about the same distance as Houston, about 1400 mi. I really would like to make the trip, but I will need to take a couple of extra days for the trip with at least one overnight stop each way. Makes for a much more expensive trip. Looks like El Paso is about midway. I wonder if there are any XSives in the area to travel with that is making the trip?

ummmm I may have done a bad thing..... I let Cycle World Mag know about our get together...... sent a letter to the editor..... it is however the 30th anniversary! So, maybe everyone can forgive me? Besides I still cant get a call back.... So, why not an email?

Why?? It's taken me 20 or 30 visits, but I finally have a nice comfy spot on the living room floor with an air matress on dibbs whenever I get there!


That would be cool for a cycle mag to get a 30th anniversary pic of Hippy Dave's 78E. I've never seen or heard of another as clean that gets ridden... although a lot less since he started cheating on it with the Bussa. That XS of his is purdy! He likes when I tell him he's anal about it.... lol.

DUDE. I think I might be off for that weekend! My Finals end June12. 4/c is required to help with graduation that week. As it looks right now, count me in. That being the case, if anyone needs a room to crash in, I should have some space. What is the count right now? I may end up missing the 1st day b/c of graduation. Still, I am sure my Dad will enjoy a few XSives around. I will keep everyone updated.
