I have always had a full-face helmet. Yes, glasses on seat, helmet on, glasses on. After 30 years it's not a PITA, just how it is. Yes it takes 1 - 2 seconds longer, I guess I could leave the glasses off and stow them somewhere.
I don't know which is less convienient, glasses under a full-face helmet or a feeding tube the rest of my life.
FYIW I haven't had an accident yet but still wear a full-face helmet. I'm also not saying everyone should wear a full-face helmet. I'd like to see mandatory helmet laws done away-with (along with 85% of the rest of the laws).

That's why my glasses, my ONLY pair, are photo-gray. Until I got those PEEKS sunglasses, at a bike rally, I had never owned a pair of sunglasses.

I've had photo-gray glasses since I was 8.

I've never had an issue with anything hitting me in the face, either large enough, or hard enough to cause any damage to the std prescription glasses.

I did get prescription safety glasses once, back in the early 80s, but they were pretty heavy because of the glass lenses.

Personally, my take is that the full-face is more likely to make you need the feeding tube. If the accident is that bad, do I really want to survive?

I can think of lots worse ways to go.

For those of you with flip up face shields, are those universal for all 3 snap helmets? I have an AFX-75 and bikebandit said they don't have any face shields at all. I just ordered a tire from them (Dunlop 404 $52 buck shipped to the house in 2 days!) and wanted to give them some more business.

Glasses and helmets

My local hardware store sells a brand of construction(safety) sun glasses with bi-focals which work real well with a helmet and protect the eyes against flying objects. I had Lasek 3 years ago but still need reading glasses so these let me read my gauges and maps without changing glasses on the road. Also you can order prescription goggles which work great with open face helmets you just leave them on your helmet and pull them down when you want to use them.

What's really a pain when you wear glasses and have a full face is when you're in a hurry and you forget you have your glasses on. OUCH!

Modular Full Face all the way. I won't consider an Open Face after a run in with a Pissed off Bumble Bee in Cali years ago. Regular Full faces require taking off the glasses, slipping on the lid, then wedging the glasses back on my face, trying accurately get them on my ears while fighting the lining of the helmet. PITA!!!!!!!
