    Sorry I didn't understand that you were on the road. Some of these guys are really bad. I dunno how they stay in business.

      The weird thing is that he seems to be very busy and well recommended. I am hoping this was an anomaly. I definitely am going to tell him what happened... hopefully he might think about it the next time he wants to short-service someone else.

      Thanks for your original post though... you do have a valid point about the 'might be cheaper in the long run' aspect if someone is not interested in doing their own work. We actually considered that, but figure since in this area, the weather gives a lot of riding down time for working on the bike.

      There IS a silver lining to that rain cloud... heh...
