  • XS11 Buttons

    Hey everyone!

I haven't been around in awhile...after finally getting the bike back together I have been riding non-stop before winter gets here...

Anyhow...I wanted to see how interested people would be in buying a 1'' XS11 button.

They'd be like $1 shipped or something and I'd send them in an envelope.

My buddy just started up a button making business...I went over to check it out and he wanted to show me the entire process...

He asked what kind of button I wanted...After about a minute I realized an XS11 button for my jacket would be awesome...

I had him use this image.. http://www.xs11.com/goodies/jumbopatch.jpg

He shrunk it down...printed it out...and preceded to make an awesome looking button.

I'll try to get a picture soon...they look great though...very nice quality.

I'm just testing the waters right now to get an idea of the interest level...

    Let me know guys.

EDIT: He also makes t-shirts and stickers so I could place an order for them as well if people want them.

Yeah...he can use any picture...so if people are interested and can come to a decision on something it'd be fine.

Sounds interesting,I have a dozen pins or so on the leather cover on my fairing, something like that might work.Would it mount like a safety pin or a little thingie on the back where you push the button thur and put on a coat hat or whatever and attach a stopper to keep it in place. Like my high tech talk, thingie and stopper, don't know the right names.

A nice photo might be a semi transparent collage of the standard model, the special model and the mid-night special model slightly overlaping each other on the botton .

I don't know about the collage...it's only a 1 inch button in diameter.

Its like any normal button backing. Theres the long needle that you poke through one side and out the other then put it behind the little thing that holds in down behind pressure.

I cant explain it...but look at a normal metal button and thats how it is.

I could probably have him make custom buttons for everyone...with a picture of your bike...or whatever you want....but it's going to cost more...

              Hey Denz,

I say, sure, anything thing else I can get to put on my vest, yeah!

Tell us more about the stickers? Gary(66) had some made of the XS11.com logo, they are high grade fade resistant material guaranteed not to fade for 5 years or such!

Are these window stickers, or bumper stickers?

There's not as much stuff made for the XJ's, and I think the many XJ'ers would appreciate a special XJ 1100 button!

Also, perhaps getting some very good quality images of the different models/years would be another good button idea, starting with the 78E, then 79-80Special, 79-80Standard, the 81 Std and Spcl, and the XJ. Just putting out some ideas!

Yeah. I'm very open to ideas.

As for the stickers...I can't vouche for them...he didn't show me them. He just mentioned he could make them.

As for the buttons I know they're top of the line buttons.

The smallest order I can probably place is about 50..I might be able to get less...I'll talk to him..

In the meantime..keep the ideas coming...at least let me know what type of bike you'd want...that way I know what ones to get more of...
