Kinda the same stuff in Keith Codes "Twist of The Wrist". Won't be pulling those kind of lean angles on my XS. Too much stuff starts draggin. Ah, the good old days of riding a naked bike come back to me. Ya ever been draggin a knee and hit of those little highway reflectors? Not much difference between the first and last pic.. except a few inches to the right more in the last one.. but a 5 degree difference in angle??
What about my personal angle of attack indicator?? I situate my foot on the outside of the peg just a bit.. and in turns, if the road rubs my boot.. I know I'm just about to make some sparks... so I ease up a bit.

Interesting. I personally ride and corner like in the first photo. I stay in line with the bike and I do turn my head to keep eyesight somewhat level with the road like he is doing. I have tried all sorts of leaning into turns to see which style is best and it just feels like the bike locks into the road best staying in the centerline.Mike Giroir

My knees hurt far too much already without dragging them on the road. Having said that it is fun to experiment with body position and lean angle. My Doctor would kill me if I tried something like that... after all, there's only so many times you can have your knees replaced! Besides, isn't that the secondary reason for foot pegs
