  • My Intro.

Hello to all XS/XJ owners. My name is Ben.I have just discovered this forum!Talk abt a late comer. One thing though...for the past 24 years I have owned a variety of Yamahas including a 1980 XS1100 and my 1982 XJ 1100 which I still have.I have had the XJ1100 Maxim since 1983 and was bought as a leftover new model. This past Spring I gave the Max a 25 yr birthday present.I replaced and upgraded some of the worn out components and upgraded its performance to boot.I replaced the stock exhaust with a 4 into 1...other mods were...Stg lll carb kit, rebuilt airbox with 4 K/N filters, rebuilt clutch, new brakes, new shaft drive boot, and new Dunlop tires and a gen'l tune up.I really changed the stock nature of this bike and it is more of a beast that barks and growls when I lay on the throttle.I am looking forward to discussions here,

          Oh, right, gotcha!

You seldom take notice of anything I might say.

          This is a good thing.

            Welcome!

I second what Stralya said (for me... not him)... I am simply here for comic relief... and the occasional moment of brilliance...
Lots of people who DO know what they are talking about though are around to help with any problems you might have... though it sounds like you might have a pretty good handle on things after all this time...

            Welcome!
