Just got the carbs done and took my first real ride,,, wow. What a bike. I gotta say the repair and help section on this forum was monumental in helping me.

That's pretty much what I said the first time I got a handful of throttle on mine. I might've used a an expletive though...

      Feels good, don't it?

The ride home when I bought mine, about two and a half hours, I had a grin that just wouldn't quit. I do love my xj1100.

          Holy s**t

Pretty much agree.A handful of throttle will bring a smile to your face.Luckily, with my bike I did'nt inherit the carb problems or any tranny problems, knock on wood.Hope to keep the old girl running a few more years. This forum rules!

I have been riding my baby for 27 years now and I still get a big grin when I start her up for a ride.

I concur! It's been a little over a year now since I got mine on the road. Would it have been possible without this forum? Probably, given with my wrenching experience........would've taken twice as long though! This place is great for the in-experienced and yes the experienced ones. You can always learn something new!
Cleaned the 'Ol Beast up yesterday......long overdue! Left turn at four-way, HARD twist and quick shift......tried to break loose!!
Haven't been able to get much riding in.......have been battling "tennis elbow" tendonitis on the right bank. Almost to the point of selling has crossed my mind.....yea it was a short trip. If it gets to that point, it will be offered up here first. For without this Forum, Would still be working on it.
