Hey Alex and Paul .. I had a great time yesterday biking with you guys to the bike show. The weather was wonderful for the ride. The show was interesting and I was surprised to see that many 1100s present. It was an interesting day for sure. As you guys saw I decided to take 15 north and it was on OK shape. Only hit about 5 KM of unpaved road and no freshly laid tar stretches. I hit Richmond at 7 and was home at 7:30. It got pretty cool for that last 45 minutes of riding so I was glad I had brought vest.
My butt is however a little sore LOL LOL LOL. I think I will pop my king queen seat on for the next full day outing I do.
Cheers guys
Rob
I too had a great time. The ride up was awesome. Alex and I hit the Timmies in Perth on the way home. We got to C.P around 8. I'm sure Alex had a cold ride the rest of the way. Was good to see so many older bikes and interesting people. Thanks to oldbiker and mother goose for joining us too, sorry I missed saying goodbye. Thanks again for the lock tip Carl!
Happy Trails,
Paul

Anyway, I'm glad you had a great time. BG, it's a shame we didn't get to meet. The season's not over yet though
Hey Meatloaf, not by a long shot. Best riding is in the fall anyway. Perhaps a local ride is in order!

Hey guys
Great day indeed . I love seeing new roads and countryside . Meeting new people and the rally was a great bonus . It was nice to see a Northern Old Bastard (my chapter) win the Fast Eddie contest . I also got to learn the meaning of patience in the 1 hour wait for a hamburg but in this time I got to meet olebiker and the lovely mothergoose .Only one regret for the day is that I didnt buy a piece of sheepskin as my butt was giving me problems as well . Temps dropped rapidly on the way home but stubbornly I refused to put on my raingear and stopped occasionly for warm-ups . Thanks All

It was a great day. Mother goose and I throughly enjoyed meeting you all. Sorry we didn't get back to say goodbye to you all but I got asked to help with the judging of the Japanese entries. We had a great ride back but wished it had been a bit longer. I gotta tell you 79 that you would have won best in class had you put your bike in. You have sure done a wonderful job. Man it was cool to have four xj1100's so close. Now if I can find a place to work on my stuff this winter (don't have a garage just now). I will get some pics on here soon lmao........
Hey olebiker ... I'm not a member of the club or would have entered my bike even in it's non complete state. I am however very close to having her to factory floor specs. Perhaps I should join the club ... there's always next year...

I didn't know you had to be a member of the club I thought it was open to all. As for your bike being non complete it was as good or in my opinion better than the winner. The guy that had the GL and the Honda 305 won with the GL.
Champlain lookout is good... unfortunately Quebec roads are not. Besides, there are better areas to tour in the fall i.e. Lanark Highlands, Foymount, Cormac, the Opeongo Line, Calabogie, etc. etc. etc. Some of these make Champlain look like a mole hill.
At any rate we should do it. The Ottawa Valley wouldn't know what hit it with a handful or two of XS's rolling through.

P.S. Hey Aaron... thanks for the pic's of the Ottawa gathering. Would have loved to have attended, especially since I ended up wasting my time in my search for an alternate ride.
