  • Guzzi Disaster

Last weekend in Minnesota the National 2007 Moto Guzzi Rally was being held in a campground along a river. Late Saturday night the torrential rains hit the campground and a flash flood came thru the campground with a 15 foot wall of water. These pictures show what is (was) left of the rally and motorcycles after the water receded. Over 600 bikes there. The factory rig was totally submerged and totaled.

That's painful to look at. I think I would cry. But it would be a manly cry. Maybe something like "ODEN!!!"

Looks like God hates Guzzi's as much as he does trailer parks. It seems like tornados head right for them.

It takes a big man to cry. It takes an even bigger man to laugh at that man.

Well, if n1 wants a cheap guzzi....

As far as I know these machines... pull the plugs, turn the machine over a few times, check/change oil, check battery and ride!

I do feel bad for that cali III.... my favorite color too... i bet its scratched!

Money Creek Haven campground is just outside of my hometown Houston MN. It was a creek that was normally a couple feet deep and 10ft wide. This is what 17" of rain in less than 24hrs does.

I now live in Winona 20 miles from here and the whole three county area in Southeastern MN suffered much the same devistation. 7 deaths and many communities in total ruin.

I escaped any damage but somehow the condition of my XJ or where I should ride next, seems unimportant right now.
