  • Bikes at my house

we had the "end of season get together" BBQ. School has started, some poeple are headed off to other states, some to Iraq for a while, so we had an "end of year" get together- though we will be riding for a couple more months.

Lot's of bike attendence, we counted 25 sportbikes parked up and down the street, Ducati, M/VAugusta 312, Aprillia (still in my garage, no drinking and driving motorcycles!) all of the "big four" WELL represented by all types of riders. Baby Ninja parked next to ZX-14 ninja, and Squidfield brought his Viper!

I actually gave him crap about NOT bringing the Trump LOL

Here is a few pics from the lineup at the party- folks is private up in here, not too many of us actually eating or anything- mostly all of us staring at bikes and talking about bikes.

Represented at the Q were two Pro stunt groups, many of our own "trackdays" crowd from Tok/Tannacross racing, and the Wednesday/Sunday group ride crowds.

Weather was cooperative and awesome, and there were several small group rides to the Q, some went north, some went south, but they all met up at my place for the eats!

Few more pics- this Aprillia wisely stayed at my shop for the night:

Really, gotta have the highest HP bike on the planet in attendence if you want to have a nice BBQ ZX-14

M/V Augusta 312R- fastest production bike on the planet (litre class)-

Aprillia (Mille, chipped, piped wth some mods)- this guy can f-ing ride like Rossi!- he is a german dude, really cool! The appearance mods to this bike SCREAM Euro!

Of course another Italian bike- a bike that was declared by the CEO of Ducati USA as "the finest Ducati 996 in the western hemisphere"- Magesium/Carbon fibre rims, carbon fibre everywhere- it is completely modded right out of the back of the Ducati Raceteams doors- all completely legal and above board now, as gifts from some of the owner's adventures.

The line up from another angle:

Nice line up, the wife and I just did a cruise to Alaska and had to ride Harleys. Glad to see there are real bikes there too.

No insult intended cause that's a nice line of bikes .. BUT it also reminds me why I love my old 11. Every one of those bikes looks the same. They remind me of when I go to pick up my Daughter in the sea of row houses. If the Xs cars not in the lane way I can't find the place.

Really? You think a Buell looks like an M/V Augusta and a 1981 CB900F looks like an R1? LOL

I build 99% old bikes- but each bike to me has it's own unique flava.

No .... not close up but in general all those bikes look very much the same. If you lines up a row of bikes like that in the late 70s to early 80s they would not look so similar. Back then different manufacturer's did their own thing with shape, color, and over all design. A row of bikes in the those times would not look so uniform.
